How to Choose the Right Mortgage Broker?

Sara Bradford

Hi all,

I am looking to add a strong mortgage broker to my team.  Ideally someone independent and well-connected.  Anyone have great resources?  What are the best questions to be asking when meeting with potential candidates?

Thanks!

Sara

Hey @Sara Bradford

I'm a mortgage broker, would love to chat. About 80% of my business is investors. I think you want to evaluate your mortgage broker & any member of your team the same (Realtor, Lawyer, etc.)

1. Are they actively investing in real estate & preferably are they ahead of where you are with their portfolio

2. Can you pick up the phone, call them & actually get through?

3. Do they do enough volume where they have strong bank relationships (quicker turnaround time, higher likelihood for an exception if your file needs it).

Look forward to connecting.

Jacob
