Seeking Tips on Skip Tracing for Real Estate Leads in Canada
Hey fellow Canadian real estate enthusiasts,
I hope everyone is having a successful journey in the world of real estate! I'm reaching out to tap into the collective knowledge of this amazing community. As many of you might be aware, skip tracing for real estate leads in Canada can be a bit more challenging due to our stricter privacy laws. Unlike in the US, property owner information isn't readily available here, making the process a bit trickier.
That's why I'm here today, seeking your valuable insights and tips on how to efficiently skip trace for real estate leads in Canada. Whether you are a seasoned investor, a real estate agent, or someone who has successfully navigated these waters, your input would be truly appreciated.
I'll go ahead and start by sharing some of my best practices. I hope this is helpful to someone out there.
1. Telelisting - Great for scrubbing to see if I can find a phone number based on an address.
2. MyLTSA - Pull title on a specific property to see who the registered owners are. Possibly they have a different address registered at land title.
3. Canada 411,Canada Whitepages, Locate Family - See if the owners are listed by address anywhere. Sometimes you get lucky!
4. Facebook - If I have a name...then start the creeping.
Here are a few specific points I'm interested in learning more about:
1. Trusted Tools and Resources: Are there any specialized tools or platforms or websites you've found useful for obtaining limited information about property owners?
2. Networking and Local Insights: Have you had any success with local networking or utilizing local resources to gather valuable information about property owners discreetly?
3. Lessons from Past Experiences: If you've faced any challenges or learned valuable lessons while skip tracing in Canada, I'd love to hear about them. Learning from each other's experiences can be immensely helpful!
Please remember, the focus here is on compliance with Canadian privacy laws and respecting the privacy of individuals while still achieving our goals. Let's keep this discussion professional, ethical, and constructive.
Your input could make a significant difference in the success of my real estate ventures, and I'm sure it'll benefit others in the community too. So, if you have any ideas, insights, or stories to share, please don't hesitate to chime in! Let's collaborate and learn together.
Thank you all in advance for your contributions!
Best regards,
Nav
