Self Management on rentals

Hi everyone. We currently own 3 units and plan to buy more in the future. For the past 13 years we have self managed and want to continue to. We created a business name and accept all rent and make payments through there but the properties are under our name. Tenants know of it as the management company. Up until now though we haven’t set it up to be an actual business tax and pay wise. Has anyone done this and have any advice or information? Not even sure if that makes any sense but anyone that is self managing and has any tips,advice, info etc I’d greatly appreciate it! :)
