Reassessing Property Taxes
Hey BP Community,
I am currently working through a property tax reassessment on one of my rental properties (property tax jumped on a SFR from $2800 last year to about $4000 this year). Who has had success in working with local governments on this, and what sort of techniques and tactics worked? Thank you for sharing your experiences!

@David Kramer this has been really difficult in my experience. Assessors in my market seem unwilling to budge with the exception of some really solid comps.
In your opinion is it assessed for more than it's actually worth? If so, do you happen to have an appraisal on file that shows a lower value? Third party appraisals are the one thing that assessors will listen to from my point of view.
If is is correctly assessed I'd recommend spending your time trying to find more deals or higher value tasks. If the data is on their side you'll just be spinning your wheels.
