Managing Repairs and Maintenance

Annie Abenth
Posted

New investor here! I’m self managing a property here in Oregon and my tenants insist on me being present for a repair that needs to be done on the heating system because they think it’s inconvenient for them to take time off of work to be present. Oregon law does not require the landlord to be present for such repairs and maintenance, so how do I go about putting my foot down on this situation to ensure that it won’t continue to be an issue. I can’t be present for every repair nor do I want to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
