DBA process and virtual business address

Hi all,

I'm trying to create some anonymity between me and the tenants. I want to present myself as the property manager rather than the owner. I am thinking of creating a DBA with a virtual business address through iPostal1. Was also looking into Regus but it was more expensive.

I don't want to do LLC yet because I'm just starting and have only one duplex. I still need to get more properties by using conventional loans and develop a more stable business credit before doing LLC.

Anyone can share their experience with using DBA and are you using virtual addresses for your DBA? If so, which company did you go with for virtual addresses. Thank you all!

@Angel Peng you can go the DBA route and use it to open a business bank account where tenants can make payments.

You will need an actual mailing address though, not just a PO Box. So, make sure the iPostal1 qualifies.

FYI: when you do set up an LLC, do NOT use your address or list yourself as the agent for the LLC - defeats the goal of anonymity!
