Rent Collection with Avail

Zack Van Duyne
Posted

We currently use Avail for rent collection. Normally the tenant will initiate their payment, it will take 3 or so days for the payment to withdraw and another 3 or so to deposit into our account. We’ve had some issues in the past and now currently where the payment will be deposited into our account but the next day it will bounce back out due to NSF. Are there any rent collection platforms that collect rent instantly? Or that won’t allow for the rent to bounce? We’ve dealt with this for quite some time and it makes things much more difficult to manage. My guess (even though we’ve explained the process to our tenants many times) is that they assume it’s paid instantly and go about their day as normal, not being careful about the scheduled withdrawal. Any advice or new rent collection platforms appreciated!
Thanks,

Zack
