ATTN NJ Landlords...Lead Based Paint Inspections - July 22, 2024

We are closing in on the dead line for lead based paint inspections for rental dwelling units.

..."all rental dwelling units built before 1978 are required to be inspected pursuant to NJ Lead-Based Paint Inspection Law, NJSA 52:27D-437.16 must be inspected for lead based paint by July 22, 2024, or upon tenant turnover, whichever is earlier..."

Call the local municipality where your rental property is located and ask if they have a list of certified local contractors or see the attached link for a list of NJ Certified Lead Evaluators...https://www.nj.gov/dca/divisions/codes/publications/pdf_lead...
