Guarantor Issue in Brooklyn,New York.
Hello,
Can a guarantor be denied for living in the same building? Is it legal for management do deny a guarantor for this reason?
I applied for a lease and needed a guarantor.
My guarantor is a friend who rents an apartment in the same building.
Building management did not allow my friend to apply as guarantor because he was renting in the same building and I lost the lease.
Someone else is management mentioned this is not right and that other tenants are guarantors for apartments being rented for their relatives.
Any thoughts?
