When it comes to Landlord and tenant’s responsibility’s

I am a new landlord and I am managing the properties my self. I am having plumbing issues it back up a couple times as I am trying to resolve the problem and have called plumbers to fix it. I’ve also cleaned up the the back up mess every time but is it my job as landlord to clean it up or the tenants? It’s a single family home.
