Roof leak issues

Hi,

I've had several roof leak issues just in the past 1 month. How should I screen roofing companies if I want to replace the entire roof? What are the criteria I should be looking in the material they use, etc.?

Also, would it be a good idea to switch from a flat to a gable roof now that i am replacing the entire roof?

Thank you!

(from a Roofer) Nathan gave good advice, as he usually does. :)  (I think he lives on here!) lol

Remember, Repairs CAN be done!  We do small roofing repairs daily, on flat roofs, other commercial applications, and residential (shingles).  IF replacing, yes: longevity in a roofing company; their warranty; materials; and a "fair" price.

(Do searches on this top here on BP. There is a very recent tread on this exact thing, "convert flat roof into pitched/gable)  If you have the $$$, go for it! haha  But, it's "usually" not necessary.  If in a residential neighborhood, and most of the houses have shingles... your flat roof may be just fine with using Mod Bit materials (Modified Bitumen).  unless it already has TPO on it or that.  Again, without re-typing the same things, please search for that topic or my past posts and that tread/topic will come up with details on it all.

Feel free to send me a message if you have specific roofing questions.
