House hack - Shared wall with DJ

Sam Hendricksen
Posted

Maybe I’m just venting but I have 3 bed 2 bath. The two smaller rooms share a wall I live in one and I rent the other to a part time DJ. When I interviewed him he said it was all through his headphones, which is ‘mostly” true. But I’ve had to ask him to quiet down about once a week at 11pm for two months.

It’s gotten to the point tonight he says the window is open and he’s just using headphones but I hear it reverberating into my room… the walls are rather thin but it still annoys the heck out of me.

Is this just to be expected in a room rental? Does this kind of thing bother just me, will it bother my next tenant when I move in 2 months?
