Customizable property management in Roanoke, VA area

Melissa Wiggins
Posted

Hello! I'm new to the REI world and my husband and I are under contract for our first rental property. We live in Utah and are buying in Salem, outside of Roanoke, VA. So - long distance management.

I don't want to hire a property manager for everything - I'm available for and capable of tenant screening, rent collection, maintenance requests, etc (likely going to use an online app for this).

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a property manager in the Roanoke area that does "a la carte" services - really, I just need someone to show the property to potential tenants.

Is this a thing in the rental property world? We're leaning towards long-term renters, but may go the short-term/travel nurse route (furnished). I suppose those tenants are treated more like someone booking on Airbnb? I'd love to hear thoughts, past experience, recommendation, etc. Thanks, y'all!
