How much can you rent Increase

Riyaz Ali
Posted

Hey Guys im a new investor in Detroit, I recently purchased a property on the East side, and its currently below market rent. Their lease is currently over and they are on a month-to-month lease. I was wondering if are any laws that are pertaining to rental increase? if so, are there any resources on where you can find the law?

From what I am able to find, Detroit does not regulate or limit the amount of a rent increase. Give them 30 days notice in writing and raise it to your heart's content.
