Lead time on direct marketing

I got two messages during lunch yesterday. When I checked them, one was from a seller that said she got my letter last year and hoped I was still interested as she is selling now. The other call was from a woman who said her Mom died last Saturday and she found my letter in her Mother's and Grandmother's papers. Could I call right away so she could talk to me.

I did some test marketing in a new area 6 months ago, with low response rates, which is what I expected. Got two calls from that mailing last week, one of which was truly motivated.

Just wanted to post some encouragement for those getting started in direct marketing. It really does work if you stick with it.
