Saturation mailing experts

I'm interested in doing a series of saturation mailings to specific areas - I plan on using those mailings to shape a future more targeted mailing list. I don't really want a turn-key mailing house to handle this, I'd rather get the permit and manage the entire process myself so I can really tightly control the input until I get a handle on what's working. (Hint: I've done direct mail before, but it was always targeted, now I'm looking to spam everyone and look for trends).

If you're an expert at this kind of thing, I'd really like to talk to you. If you're in Houston and have a couple of hours to spare, it's worth lunch or dinner (I prefer Strip House, though I'm open to suggestions).

...otherwise, pointing me in the right direction works and I'd be grateful.
