@Brendan Armenta yes a mentor can definitely shorten the learning curve, fast track your success and save you a a ton of money in wasted expenses and mistakes.
You can also go to work for an investor and learn that way then go out on your own when your ready.
All depends on your goals, finances and your work situation.
