Best Sales Call Practices

Hi Bigger Pockets community! - For about the past month I have attempted to make sales calls to notice of lp, probate, and divorce leads (Most are notice of LP). The problem that I have consistently occurring is that the phone number is disconnected and on some occasions just the wrong number. I so far have come up leadless and plan to begin door knocking and trying other strategies but was hoping to achieve some input regarding sales calls. Am I doing something wrong? Are there more reliable websites to find phone numbers and connect with the leads(I have just been google searching)? Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks!
