Listsource filter when field is unknown

With listsource is there a way to filter on data, but include records if that data is missing?

I want to screen out less than 3 bedrooms. If they don't have the count of bedrooms then I want the record - I don't want to assume it's under 3.  But listsource does not 'screen out', it includes, so if the data is not available it's not a match.  I have also noticed this on other fields like equity.

My thought is that these records without data fields have less competition. Anyone screening for bedrooms loses the records that don't have this field and some are probably 3+.

For example, my list has 798 records.  I tried to filter by bedrooms and found this:

  • 467 records when I look for 3 or bedrooms.
  • 130 records when I look for 1-2 bedroms.

That is 597 records.  I have lost 201 records - probably because they do not have the number of bedrooms listed.

I have called listSource support but they are no help.  I can't get them to understand the issue.
