Yellow Letter Personalized or Not Personalized...Difference?

I am wondering if not personalizing the yellow letter itself makes a difference?  Meaning instead of the yellow letter stating " Hi, Samatha" it would just say "Hi" and then the normal yellow letter verbiage.   This simple change will make it so I can print 5,000 pieces and have them go out over a 3 month period instead of only printing and sending out the 1,666 needed for the month.  I am trying to see the economies of scale without shooting myself in the foot.  Would this small change make a difference in response rate .
