Direct Mail Around Holidays?

Just wanted to see what you guys thought about direct mail around the holidays? I do still send mailers this time of year but response rates seem to be down so I wanted to see what others thought? I have heard both sides to the argument and that some take a break or slow down this time of the year and others say they stay the course or turn things up???

Happy Holidays!

We decide to be consistent this month and mail. Our call back rate sucks. But I see it as another touch out there. I'm hoping the people who would normally call are holding on to my info and will cal once the parties are over in a few weeks.
