How do you find out the Market Rental Rate in your state

Hi everyone! 

I have a question about finding out adequate rental markets in the state or area you plan on purchasing??

For my purchase the appraiser analyzed the area with comparable rents and suggested a rent price. There are other methods but they may not be accurate (rent-o-meter.com, zillow.com, craigslist etc.)
