How to market real estate to serious investors

What is the best way to market vacant land to investors other than listing with local brokers or listing it for sale/lease by owner?  I want to market to serious investors and not just curious locals. I have some vacant lots in city limits of a small town rural community and would appreciate some guidance, ideas or resources, if you would please.
