Advice on Yellow Letters for a Primary Residence
Looking for some feedback on a yellow letter/postcard campaign I'm considering doing in a search for a primary residence. First off, I need to disclose that I'm an agent. I suspect that this will automatically arouse suspicion that I'm fishing for listings, which couldn't be further from the truth.
My initial thought was to send out yellow letter/postcards saying that I was looking for a primary residence - this was so that people wouldn't think I was just going to submit a lowball offer as an investor but that I had a vested interest in the property. However, given the expense I'd be going through, and the potential for good investments in the area, I don't want to miss an opportunity to potentially invest if a house doesn't suit my needs. Not to mention that I can only live in one house at a time anyway.
However, I'm concerned that if things move along and I don't like a particular house and mention that I'm an investor, people will feel conned. So then I was thinking that maybe I just send postcards/yellow letters that I buy houses and then try to turn that lead into a primary residence, though that puts me back at square one.
Thoughts?
Also, I'd like to hear though on whether I should do postcards on yellow letters. I like postcards since they're much cheaper but I don't want to invest in something that won't yield results.
Thanks!
