Any one know of any cost saving marketing?

Just like many new investors we are looking for a way to save money marketing. We have direct mail in mind, but we're not ready to fork our 1000's just yet. If that's the route we have to take......fine. But if there are alternatives we'll like to take those approaches first. Any suggestions?? Our focus is wholesaling and flipping.
