New Investor In the 1000 Islands Area Looking for REI Events

Hi all!

I am a new REI in the 1000 islands area and am looking to begin attending some real estate events in the area. I have searched for local REIC's and have a current list of their locations but I wanted to know if anyone had any other idea of places that I could go for networking and education. I'm currently a full time property and casualty insurance broker but will be going into the real estate investment field full time here soon, so I wanted to get a jump start on the latest events that are going on in the surrounding areas. Anywhere in NY would be alright, and I understand that being a new investor I need to attend as many as I can. Thanks in advance!
