Is it better to market many times to a smaller list or less times to a bigger one.

Hi everyone,

Basically I have 1500 dollars for yellow letters at this time. would it be better to send 2000  out to a list of 2000 different people, or send 2000 over a period of 4 months to the same list of 500 people. I know multiple touches get results, but you also want to make sure your target is big enough.

Any guidance here?

Your marketing budget should always be based on consistent follow up. Blowing your entire budget on one mailing would be a waste. Hitting 500 people 4-6 times is always better than hitting 2000 people one time. Don't send yellow letters for every mailing either, mix it up with postcards and zipletters. This adds diversity to your mail campaign while also reducing the cost.
