how far away from your immediate area is it possible to do mailing campaigns?  I live in a smaller town, it's big enough to start locally but I feel I'll have to market to other near by areas.

There are numerous bigger cities all within about 75 minutes or less from my home, is this to far?  I'm concerned if I have to meet with sellers to often it may be too much.

Also, if I can generate a list locally of 1-2 thousand addresses, how long before I exhaust that list?  I know list can be filtered in different ways, speaking in a hypothetical.
