HUD Investing
I have a question. It was said that you can get in trouble with HUD if you market the property you've won the bid on before you close the deal. So whats the proper way to market the the property without trouble in order to get a buyer if your buyers list isn't that strong or you don't have one at all?

Tony,
as mentioned in the previous reply once you have the accepted contract from hud you have "equitable rights to sell/market your rights in the transaction". I have had success listing the property on craigslist, backpage, and others. You have the right to market the property. I would network w/ other investors at your local REI club, auctions, and other networking events. I would also find other cash transactions in that area and try and call the agent and or buyers to build your buyers list. If you have any other questions feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. I have wholesaled over 20 hud deals and can help you w/ any marketing / closing questions.
