Podio CRM
Does anyone know how to have leads get automatically imported into Podio when they call their phone?
Ben Grise might be able to help.

Also while I'm here does anyone know how you @ someone if they're not already in the topic thread? Or do you have to be connected with them?
Thanks Shane
This is something Tony Cavalli and I are researching right now also. Please let us know what you find
My question is why would you want to do it this way?
I have a form on my website where when the seller enters the information it goes into Podio so I don't have to enter it. Since I use Skype so I could just copy the numbers and paste the log into excel and them import them in. Seems like that is the best way to do it.

I use google voice I was looking to find a way for direct mail leads to automatically import into podio without manually entering them. It seems as if I will have to just copy and paste them onto excel and import them that way.
@Vanessa Burgess any luck? Im wondering if that feature only works with an "upgraded" podio account.
You have to use the email to app intergration with podio to get calls into the app you setup..we use Freedomvoice for our voicemail line and the leads go straight into podio. $10 a month well spent.
Tony, with google voice I tried to do email integration by changing my settings in google voice it didn't work. It order to change email address in google voice you must verifiy it in podio and when I tired to verifiy it in podio I was unable to. It was just a picture of google logo where it said to verify google email change there was not a link or anything I assume google have it so your unable to switch your google email to podio email.
Hey @Vanessa Burgess . Just came across this post. Did you ever find a answer to this? I was able to get it done yesterday.
@Malita Robinson
I was not able to find the answer. Can you please explain how to do it?
Vanessa Burgess have you tried using IFTTT? You can have emails sent from every voicemail you receive on google voice.
I am very familiar with Podio. I did a quick video to answer this question. See this...

I actually recommend that you check out Vumber.com. It is better than Google Voice, in my opinion. It isn't free, but it allows you to have multiple numbers for multiple marketing campaigns or multiple markets.
Richelle,
I have not tried ifttt. I started using google voice for me direct mail campaign and for the leads that called in I just wanted them to automatically go into podio for me. I do receive an email for leads that leave a message in my google account.
Joe,
Thanks for the video I will be checking it out. I have been hearing good reviews about vumber once I start branching out and doing varies marketing campaigns I will use vumber. Thanks

I would like to thank you soo much !! for your help I was able to input my google voice into podio. As far as the other great tip you gave me I was iPhone as well. Again thank you :)
What a great response @Joe McCall
When I pasted my long podio address (jredar.d****[email protected]) to the "add new alternate address" bar in the "Voicemail & Text" tab of "Settings" I was asked to verify this email address in podio....how do I verify this email address in a podio app?
wow @Joe McCall a specific video tutorial answering the question at hand! Kudos to you, this will help a ton of people!
Also just like @Shane W. mention above, @Ben G. did a great podcast where he discusses Podio, vumber and other tools he uses. http://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2014/10/09/getting-started-real-estate-wholesaler/
AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!
@Jordan Archer were you ever able to figure that email verification out, cause I'm getting the same thing?
@Rene Martinez No I didn't. I just switched to a Vumber account, and that works like a breeze. $10/mo subscription, however.
Jordan Redar I've been trying to put that off but I think I will need to stop being a cheap a** and just bite the bullet. Thanks for replying!
I was able to figure it out and these are the steps I took.
1. In podio, downloaded rei leads app under my work space
2. Went to the app settings (wrench icon)
3. Select "email to app"
4. Choose the gmail icon on the "choose your email service"
5. Sign into your google account
4. Grant podio access to the information requested
5. Go back to the app settings menu and you should see your google account there, select "add to this"
6. Now copy the email address at the BOTTOM of the screen.
7. Log into your google voice account and go into your settings (gear icon)
8. Select the voicemail & texts tab
9. Select add email address
10. Paste the long email address you copied from podio (you will get a notice from google that they sent you an email to try and verify that email address)
11. Go back to podio and hit the refresh button on your browser
12. Now on the rei leads app ( or whatever app you are trying to link) there should be a new entry
13. Select that new entry and you will see that it is an email from google with a link to verify the podio email address
14. Right click the link and select "open in new window"
15. Type your google password
16. You will now get forwarded to a message from google that says the (podio) email address has been verified
17. Your good to go
FYI if you have multiple google voice numbers you can't link them into a single app, download another rei leads app or whatever you are using to capture leads and change the name of the app (by going into the app settings) and follow the same procedure to add another google voice number to this new app
Hope this helps!
@Rene Martinez The only problem with using google voice with it is that it doesn't attach the voicemail. You have to still click on the link and go to goolge voice to listen. I figured this out the other day myself and this still sucks. So I'm going to have to go ahead and pay for vumber. Plus it will be easier to manage the multiple lines in one account and it is only $10/m. Google voice is such a hassle!
Gary Alford I haven't gotten a van yet just texts and it works like a champ! But I could have honestly saved myself some time by going the vumber route.
