Marketing for a Lending Firm

I am a marketing professional, but a newbie in the real estate industry. I've just been hired to the marketing team for a private money lending firm. The company has been around for many years, but have just found interest in upping their marketing game. We already deploy email campaigns, and attend a few conferences a year, but I'm trying to figure out what I should be adding. I've given them social media sites, and am going to start them a blog, but I'm curious to see what has worked well for everyone else. Where do most of your leads come from? What would garner your attention from a private money lending firm?

Thanks for all your help in advance.
