RE Investor Website Helpful?
In my introduction post, I mentioned how I'm looking for actions I can take now while I prepare for my first purchase and the beginning on my RE investing career.
I'm wondering, in terms of websites, how do successful investors lay out their web presence?
I'm skilled in building websites, so I figure this is an easy way to establish some online visibility and have a platform for displaying credibility over time.
My thought was to have a website that highlights my RE business, my background, current investments, past deal history/case studies, etc. I'm thinking that including this site on my business card would give those I network with a better idea of who I am, what I can provide, what I'm looking for, and more.
Any advice?

Here is my advice:
The Home Seller want a fast solution, and unless you can give it to them, dont say you can, its misleading and not nice with the FTC and AG. With Sellers, learn the skills of offering Cash or Terms in FLA. Cash means you have Cash Buyers for flipping or Private Lenders - JV Partners for Wholesaling. Terms means Sub2, Wrap - AITD, Lease with Option, etc.
BTW you should "Be the Doctor" with the seller, see

To use websites for lead capture, you can do this cheaply at GetResponse.com and use their landing pages, I used to use Aweber, they drove me nuts. See
http://www.getresponse.com/features/landing-page-creator.html
Sellers opt in and you send them a free report on how to sell fast, not necessarily thru you, just make a friend, and offer advice on selling fast Cash or Terms.
Here is a free report I use for Lease Purchase Alternative.

I would apprentice with someone who has done alot of deals, there are senior folks here at BP.
You also need to deliver your solution and your exit strategy QUICKLY, and get a testimonial from your satisfied seller. I use an iphone for the video and ask them to say what 3 things they liked doing business with me. Was I fast? Was I polite? Was I responsive? Did I "under promise and over deliver"?
Seth Williams who I respect a TON wrote on his blog how to build a Seller's Site with WordPress. See

If you ever need tips on how to negotiate with the seller, please see

Best of luck to you!
