Microlending or Crowdfunding ?

Hi all, I am wondering if anyone has tried a microloan or crowd funding to raise money for marketing campaigns. I want to double my marketing output this year, and am looking for ways to raise the money to do it. I have to smile that I can easily borrow $200k to renovate a house, but am having trouble raising $20k to expand my business!

Anyone have experience with these newer approaches in the marketing arena?

Thanks, Alison

Alison,

I have a friend who works for a non-profit that provides micro-loans to businesses that are expanding or starting up that would not be able to secure bank financing. Here is a link to their website http://www.accionusa.org/ I hope this can be of use to you and I wish you all the best with you application process
