Is there a better place to find room renters besides Facebook Marketplace?
Facebook Marketplace is full of drug addicts.
I used to find professionals on Craigslist
I have had luck on Zillow rental and furnish finder.
I find these are less spammy than FB marketplace

I used to find professionals on Craigslist easily pre-Bideninflation.
Interesting. I haven't advertised on Craigslist in over a decade. Facebook has a lot of lookers, but very few solid prospects.
The easier it is for the applicant, the more likely you are to get the bottom of the barrel. If applying requires more than two brain cells and one minute of their time, you'll eliminate a lot of the lookers.
I recommend a syndication software. For example, TenantCloud will push (syndicate) your advertised rental to multiple websites at once, casting a wider net and increasing the chances of finding a renter.
No matter how wide you cast the net, you still need to have some pre-screening requirements to weed out the people that are wasting your time. For example, you can put in your advertisement that all applicants must make 3x the monthly rent, have a credit score of 620, or provide a recent landlord reference. Just mentioning that you charge a $30 non-refundable application fee will get rid of a lot of lookers!
Have you tried Roomster or SpareRoom? Additionally, TenantCloud’s syndication feature can help you reach a wider audience across multiple listing sites, increasing your chances of finding reliable tenants.
Have you had a specific issue with Facebook Marketplace?

Almost all rental platforms, like apartment.com or turbo tenant, have a provision asking if the rental is per room.
