Why so many out of staters want my Florida rental property sight unseen?
Hi all, I have some rentals in Jacksonville and list them for rent on Zillow and associated sites. With the last 2 homes, I've been getting a LOT of verified, Zillow applications from out of state and they want the house in 2 months. Frankly, my homes are class D. They are done up nicely but still a class D neighborhood. These applicants don't even have a job prospect and think they can sign a lease. I even had to edit the listing that I'm looking for local rent and work history. Some of them get really mad when declined. Is there some kind of scam going on or just a crazy market?
