Marketing to Vacant Houses

We have found a couple of vacant houses and when we look them up on the appraisal district website, it classifies them as vacant, but the mailing address for the owner is the same as the property address. Anyone know what this means? Owner picking up mail at this property or maybe the new mailing address has not been posted? One of the houses is burned out so I know no one is living in that one.

You can send a letter to the property and put "Address Service Requested". If the mail is forwarded, you'll get back the letter with the forwarding address. You can always ask the neighbors. They will may know where the previous owners relocated too. When talking to the neighbors and they don't know where they are, make sure ask if they know anyone who may know where they are. They may not know but they know they were friends with the people down on the corner.
