Newbie Looking to Buy an Apartment Complex

Hey guys, my name is Brad, I'm 27 years old and I'm looking to invest in an apartment complex. I have a ton of leasing experience as a leasing manager for two different companies, where I exceeded all of my leasing goals. However, I've never owned an investment property and I'd like to partner with someone and contribute some sweat equity. I'm wondering how I can find people that would be willing to partner with me, where do I look for someone that would give a newbie a chance, should I reach out to brokers and individual investors or should I go at this alone? Any advice is helpful, thanks in advance!
