How to screen tenants in low income areas. Is section 8 a better?
How do you screen tenants? What are your criteria? I have a newly renovated single family 2br/1ba house in a lower income area that may be gentrified within the next 10yrs. It’s a very nice property for the area. I own it free and clear as well. What are the pros and cons of going the section 8 route and will that have any affect on my refinancing options? I want to pull the equity out and reinvest it in a multi family home.
