How do I not let this happen again !

How do I handle a tenant that thinks they own the place ?   I listed the apartment as nonsmoking - a month into the lease she tells me she smokes . It’s a slap in the face . I don’t know what to do , she recently started trying to tell me when I could go and fix things on her schedule . Any help would be appreciated . Can I get her out ?
