So I may be a little late to the game. I read an article stating they approved additional dwelling units (ADU) in Chicago in 12/2020 and they are allowing applications to be submitted in on 5/2021. Do you guys know of anyone doing a dwelling unit in the Chicagoland area. They do have some regulations to get approved and I think owner-occupied is one of them.

thanks in advance.

@Alvin A. Gonzalez - I have one building in the ADU Pilot zone but it was also zoned RM5 so I was able to add a 4th legal unit without waiting for the ADU ordinance (purchased before May of this year).

Here is the city's info on the ADU ordinance along with the pilot maps:

And here is a relevant BP thread in the forums that covers a year of thoughts from others in Chicago: https://www.biggerpockets.com/...
