New to real estate asking for guidance help

Hello my name is Wendy I am currently booked for my real estate class next month. I had a question im sure it's been asked before but I wanted help.  If I have money in stocks is there a such thing to use this as collateral or equity of some sort to purchase a buy to sell or a flipper?
