The future of remote work and the "suburbs"
I've been thinking a lot about the future of suburbia. My wife and I live on the coast in Connecticut (Milford), have an investment property in Norwalk CT, and Tampa bay area in Florida. I've watched so many people (close friends and family) exit the major cities and settle into homes in the burbs. I don't doubt that cities will bounce back. It may take time but I do believe humans are social beings that crave communities. There will always be a place for cities. I'd love to hear what others believe will happen to suburbia once things settle. Will remote work redefine where people are based? I've heard a lot about the hub and spoke office models with satellite locations and it seems to be happening everywhere. Will cities flourish again in renaissance or are we destined for increased migration to micro-burbs and a great "spread" across the country. What do people predict? How are you preparing and what direction do you/your family want to take?

@Cody Benedetto I flip in the Danbury area. I would’ve already left CT if it wasn’t for the massive influx of NY buyers. People seem to be hedging their moves far enough away but still able to commute to the city. My wife is a realtor and the amount of NY clients she has is astounding. We’ve decided to continue investing here in CT both flips and rentals. We will see when and if the wave of NYers ends.
