When to Bring a Home Inspector

Hi, I'm a newbie and listening to as many BP podcasts and read as many books as possible. I'm planning on purchasing my first home (SFH) and will house hack by adding an ADU.

Is it ok to ask a home inspector to come take a look at a house with me when I first walk through the home?

Appreciate the community's input. Thank you.
