Developers interest in low income subsidized housing

Seems I'm seeing more and more local news about new construction of subsidized low income housing projects and the reaction by those who say "not in my neighborhood."

Usually, the red tape associated with these projects would drive developers to greener pastures, but today, private developments and spec building aren't as green ($$) as they used to be.

In Wisconsin, these seem to going on everywhere, and some are quite large, with OO's clogging city council meetings to complain.

Is this happening everywhere?
