That actually goes along with a post I made quite a while ago about extended families.

Families will not be moving as far from each other as they used to. They will need each other near and pool their resources to make it through.

SFH's with some kind of "in-law" possibilities such as an above garage apt should do well.

You may even be able to bring in an good storage building, insulate it, and provide an additional room for someone to move back home (at a little more rent, of course).
