Thanks for posting the article! It seems like it muddied the meaning of turnkey a bit though. I think some of the folks in the article were just buying houses from a realtor and renting them out. My understanding of turnkey is that you buy a freshly rehabbed property from a turnkey provider with a tenant already vetted and placed. When I bought mine in Minnesota I (after due diligence on the company and touring their rehabs and neighborhoods) was pitched some options, picked one I liked, signed the docs, sent the money, and collected a paycheck each month. That's what turnkey means to me.
