Most are probably selling their rentals to owner occupants, driving rents even higher. But we assume that’s the purpose of all these laws right? Get renters out of their neighborhoods and back in to large apartments owned by large companies where they belong. They don’t want them in houses next to decent home owning people. Certainly not at affordable rates.

Because 100% of economists say rent control doesn’t work, it’s just another case of “Don’t listen to the experts.” message they love to push. That is the message they push right?

ps. If rent control did work and was a good idea, shouldn’t we start with food control?
