We're all familiar with how "crazy" the market has been over the last two years. However, even then there are some stand outs that set the bar for new levels of lunacy.

During this time it was common for realtors to advise their buyers to, 1) Go in 100k + over list, 2) waive all inspections, 3) waive appraisal contingency 4) degrade themselves by begging the sellers with a pathetic letter, 5) donate a vital organ to the sellers, and all kind of other crazy conditions.

What are some of the most awful and embarrassing deals that you saw during this period?

the letters became illegal in Oregon a few years ago.  the powers to be thought them prejudicial so cant do that anymore.  although I think its still alive and well in Washington as I got one for a prop we just sold last month that had multiple offers and bid over ask.. ( which I guess today is rare)
