Austin Texas MSA unemployment numbers looking very good again!

Austin Round Rock MSA employment workforce keeps growing. The cumulative labor force expanded from 1,314,900 to 1,350,700 year over year comparing August 2022 vs August 2021. The unemployment numbers decreased from 3.8% to 3%. That is red hot folks! Did the interest rate hikes have an effect? Sure it did but folks are still moving here for the jobs and jobs keep getting created here. Austin MSA is tied with Amarillo for the lowest unemployment rate in the state.
