Holiday weekends = great time to find a deal!

We have 7 Multi-Family (MF) listings ready to “go live” but we’re holding off on 6 of them until next week because we expect less buyers to be out on a holiday weekend. The one we are listing is a “entry level” 2 family in Leominster, a market with very low MF inventory, so we’re taking our chances this weekend. Most of our broker peers are doing the same thing which creates an opportunity for our buyers to take advantage of the holiday weekend.

Less buyers mean less competition this weekend and more listing next week might create an opportunity with an overlooked new listings.

We’ve been tracking real estate data in MA for a while and holiday weekend ALWAYS see a significant drop in # of new listings and the # of buyer requested showings (according to ShowingTime). This weekend could be a great weekend to find a property with a reduced chance of a bidding war. Especially in our crazy Hot greater Boston multi-family market.

Best,

Jon
